ALWAYS ADVOCATE? NURSING STUDENTS' PRACTICE CASE

Sam (39) has been diagnosed with a brain tumour for which there is no curative treatment available. Sam has been admitted to the palliative care unit where you work. He is unable to care for himself and is now confined to a wheelchair and his wife has indicated that despite many home assistance services, she cannot care for him at home. Sam is aware of his wife’s concerns but wants to go home and asks for your help.

It is proposed that you advocate for Sam and assist him to discharge himself
